This Cancellation & Refund Policy explains what happens if a project is cancelled and when refunds may be provided.
Last Updated: October 7, 2026
1. Overview
This policy explains how cancellations and refunds work for WordPress development, consulting, maintenance and related services provided by Nitin Arya. Specific terms agreed in writing for a project take priority over this general policy.
2. Cancelling a Project
You may cancel a project at any time by letting me know in writing. Work completed up to the date of cancellation, including time spent on planning, communication and development, is payable.
3. Advance Payments
Advance payments reserve time in my schedule and cover initial work. If a project is cancelled before work has started, the advance may be refunded after deducting any costs already incurred. Once work has started, the advance is applied to the work completed.
4. Refunds
Refunds may be considered when:
- A payment was made in error or charged twice
- Agreed work was not started and the project is cancelled
- Agreed work was not delivered and cannot reasonably be completed
Refunds are not normally provided for:
- Work that has been completed or delivered
- Hourly work for time already spent
- Changes in requirements or decisions after work has started
- Third-party purchases such as themes, plugins, hosting or domains
- Delays caused by missing content, feedback, access or payments
5. Maintenance and Ongoing Support
Ongoing maintenance or support arrangements can be cancelled with written notice. The current billing period is payable in full, and the arrangement ends at the end of that period unless agreed otherwise.
6. Third-Party Costs
Costs paid to third parties on your behalf, such as premium plugins, themes, hosting, domains or services, are subject to the refund policies of those providers.
7. How Refunds Are Processed
Approved refunds are made using the original payment method where possible, or another method agreed with you. Payment provider or transfer fees may be deducted.
8. Disputes
If you are unhappy with any part of the work, please contact me first. I will do my best to understand the issue and find a fair solution.
